PowerMyLearning Rings NYSE Closing Bell to Celebrate American Ed. Week

by Elisabeth Stock on

NEW YORK, November 19, 2015–PowerMyLearning rang the closing bell of the New York Stock Exchange on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 to highlight American Education Week, which is taking place from November 16 through November 20.

The national non-profit PowerMyLearning was an ideal choice to call attention to American Education Week, an initiative led by the National Education Association to raise awareness about the critical need to provide every child with a quality education. PowerMyLearning has been committed to this goal since its founding more than 16 years ago. The organization works in low-income communities, leveraging technology to enhance the interactions among students, teachers, and parents so that all students can succeed. Their work has demonstrated impact on student achievement and love of learning, teacher instructional practices, and parental confidence.

The honor of ringing the bell was given to Elisabeth Stock, the CEO and Co-Founder of PowerMyLearning. “I am delighted to represent PowerMyLearning on the iconic New York Stock Exchange bell podium, especially in recognition of an important initiative like American Education Week,” said Stock. “Every day we feel honored to work with teachers and parents in our partner schools in their efforts to foster student growth.”

Accompanying Stock were members of PowerMyLearning staff, members of the PowerMyLearning Board of Directors, and a principal from a PowerMyLearning partner school.
